TOP 3 TIPS
(Tips below apply to outlets with updated software ( i.e. after March 2010). If in doubt please contact our support number 089 4903604 and we will let you know. Please note that from September 2019 – we no longer support older software as it is out of date. We update your system free of charge to the latest software – just ask
FOR THE MOST EFFECTIVE USE OF OUR PERSONALISED PRINTING SYSTEM:-
- Each morning turn on your laptop by pressing the on button on both (at back of printer, and above keyboard on laptop) – walk away from it, it will boot itself into our software in a minute or so.
- Every evening power down the laptop and printer.
Following the above routine will ensure printing of labels is faster and better quality every time.
NEVER CUT LABELS TIGHT TO THE PRINTER EDGE
The feed of labels out of the printer needs at least 3 label widths -outside of the printer- to allow it recalibrate itself from time to time. In doing so it pulls the label roll back into the printer, resets and then pushes the labels back to their original position.
It is ok to peel off stickers off the label roll, to apply them to the card, but if you cut the label roll, less than 3 labels from the printer, you are likely to incur a printer jam, which may take some time to fix, or require support from us to do so.
DONT DISCONNECT PRINTER OR BARCODE SCANNER FROM LAPTOP USB PORTS ( unless instructed to do so by our support team)
Your laptop is paired specifically with your printer and barcode scanner. Removing a usb connection will cause the laptop to stop seeing the printer or barcode scanner and you are likely to have issues with printing. Please dont remove or remove and insert usb connections without checking with us first. If this happens by accident please contact our support line.
